Hi, I’m Mary.
I provide a calm home for dogs who thrive on gentleness, predictability, and real attention.
Dogs with sensitive temperaments tend to gravitate towards me. Over the years, I’ve cared for dogs who need a steady presence more than constant stimulation: the shy ones, the slow-to-warm-up ones, and those who feel safest when their world is predictable. My home is set up for exactly that kind of dog: quiet, structured, and emotionally safe.
I’m based in Boise and offer personalized dog care built around routine, low arousal, and respect for each dog’s individual needs. Care is intentionally small-scale and hands-on, so dogs have the time and space to settle in, decompress, and feel understood.
My Approach
Slow, steady, and attuned
I pay attention to the little things, such as the way a dog scans a room, how they react after their families drop them off for a stay, the moment they decide they feel safe. I adjust the environment accordingly. Some dogs need a soft voice and a predictable rhythm. Others need space to observe before they engage. Some just need to chase a few squirrels!
My goal is simple:
Your dog should feel at home, not overwhelmed.
What Your Dog Can Expect
A quiet, stable environment
Gentle routines and low‑arousal structure
Thoughtful introductions and slow pacing
Respect for boundaries and comfort levels
One‑on‑one attention
A human who genuinely enjoys sensitive, observant dogs
This is a place for dogs who might not thrive in loud, busy settings, and for owners who want care that reflects that.
Why I Do This
I’ve spent years working with dogs who needed more patience than the average environment could offer. Over time, I realized that my natural strength were exactly what these dogs needed most. Building this service is my way of creating a haven for them, and a sense of relief for their humans.
If your dog is shy, sensitive, slow to warm up, or simply happier in a peaceful home than in a crowd, they’ll be understood and celebrated here. I care for dogs the way I wish every sensitive creature could be cared for: with presence, respect, and genuine attention.
