Migration of JR Simplot Company Intranet to the Simpplr Platform

Intranet Migration from SiteCore to Simpplr
About the Project
I was hired as a Migration and Simpplr SME to assist in the transition of a SiteCore intranet to Simpplr’s intranet solution for the J.R. Simplot Company, which consists of 15K global employees.
As part of a migration team, my role was migration tech expert and digital designer, bringing Simpplr expertise from many prior migrations (including Windows, BlackBaud, DocsOpen). I worked with a team consisting of a UX Designer, App Manager, Content Manager, Project Manager and Project Coordinator to bring this project to fruition.
Assisting the UX Designer, who built architecture prototypes in Figma, we transferred the build specs through Monday.com as a tracking tool for each page, section and site to be migrated. We aligned the process with the App Manager to make sure every site and page were aligned with the business’s objectives and goals.
The entire site (named “The Pulse”) is comprised of 59 sites and serves 15,000+ employees. The site launched in September, 2023.
My role consisted of building the interactive tracking tool which allowed us to maintain the status of each page, fulfill requests for new ones, and work with the UX Designer to construct each individual dashboard (site). In addition, I worked with stakeholders to ensure their stories would all be told on their respective sites. All pages, links, and videos were transferred from the old system, and some new interactions were constructed. I was not only responsible for tracking the migrated and newly-created pages, but also for constructing sites, editing content, and providing imagery, including graphic design.
As App specialist, I was responsible for the day to day running of the intranet, which includes solving technical issues, implementing the many levels of additional useability Simpplr provides, all training of employees in the system, and the development of all training materials, including videos and creation of and maintaining an LMS.
The new intranet offers a richer interactive experience, including feeds which allow the stakeholders to share their stories, events and reactions to others’ posts. Each of the 59 sites has its unique layout and stories, with a dashboard to maintain.

6. 🎯 Final Sync + Launch
Confirm all migrated content is live and functional
Notify page owners and assign long-term maintenance
Archive Sitecore versions as needed
✅ Output: Fully launched Simpplr site
I worked with Figma Make AI to create an interactive Workflow that closely mirrors the migration process we used at Simplot when migrating from SiteCore to Simpplr.
